NRCC Source: Pelosi Will Be 2010 Campaign Issue -- Politics Daily

NRCC Source: Pelosi Will Be 2010 Campaign Issue -- Politics Daily

Every movement needs a good enemy to hate. Red Sox Nation needs the New York Yankees, the Washington Redskins need the Dallas Cowboys, and Barack Obama needs Dick Cheney.

... and it turns out that while nobody knows who Harry Reid is -- the Republicans may very well need Nancy Pelosi to have a chance of winning in 2010.

Republican sources I've talked to tell me Pelosi's negatives in several key Congressional districts are through the floor.

You think???

Actually, I believe there is a chance Pelosi won't be around by then. She may be thrown under the bus in the EIT mess.

Commentary: Stop throwing dirt on GOP 'grave' - CNN.com

NEW YORK (CNN) -- My message to the national media and political pundits on their premature obits on the Republican Party: Quit throwing dirt on our graves!

We may be feeble, but we are not dead and to paraphrase a quote from the Terminator: We'll be back.

Good commentary here. We'll talk about it on tomorrow's show.

WASHINGTON — The problem with global warming, some environmentalists believe, is “global warming.”

The term turns people off, fostering images of shaggy-haired liberals, economic sacrifice and complex scientific disputes, according to extensive polling and focus group sessions conducted by ecoAmerica, a nonprofit environmental marketing and messaging firm in Washington.

In other words, people aren't buying the hype, so be need better hype. And I didn't need a marketing firm to help me say that.

KU to Take H1N1 Precautions at Commencement

KU to Take H1N1 Precautions at Commencement

In light of the H1N1 virus, the University of Kansas will be taking some precautions at this weekend's graduation ceremony.

KU officials are encouraging graduates, guests and platform parties to use hand sanitizers that will be placed throughout the event on Sunday.

In addition, hand washing stations will be provided at the portable toilet facilities.

While even this may seem like extreme precautions, at least KU isn't banning handshakes like Wichita State did.

Savage appeals to Hillary Clinton

Savage appeals to Hillary Clinton

Lawyers for Michael Savage sent a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today, asking that she call on the British government to withdraw its ban on the top-rated radio talk host.

The letter issued by the nonprofit Thomas More Law Center appeals to international conventions, arguing Savage is being punished "for what he says in the United States and not what he has said or intends to say in the United Kingdom."

In the announcement of the ban May 5 by British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, Savage, the letter notes, was listed among radical "Muslim clerics, convicted criminals and Russian skinheads.'"

Do you think Wonder Woman will be able to help Michael? Do you think she even cares? I used to have a desire to travel to England some day. But if I ever get to travel, I think I will go somewhere more friendly to freedom of speech.

Someone important appears not to be telling the truth about her knowledge of the CIA's use of enhanced interrogation techniques (EITs). That someone is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. The political persecution of Bush administration officials she has been pushing may now ensnare her.

Here's what we know. On Sept. 4, 2002, less than a year after 9/11, the CIA briefed Rep. Porter Goss, then House Intelligence Committee chairman, and Mrs. Pelosi, then the committee's ranking Democrat, on EITs including waterboarding. They were the first members of Congress to be informed.

Carl Rove is right on the money with his commentary. This is worth your time to read.

Global Warming May Exceed Infections as Health Threat (Update1) - Bloomberg.com

Global Warming May Exceed Infections as Health Threat (Update1) - Bloomberg.com

May 14 (Bloomberg) -- Global warming is the biggest public health threat of the 21st century, eclipsing infectious diseases, water shortages and poverty, a team of medical and climate-change researchers concluded.

The phenomenon will be felt first in the developing world, further burdening a population already in crisis from food shortages, said the report from University College London that was published today in The Lancet journal. The changing climate will also cause real and lasting damage to the Western world, affecting generations to come, said Anthony Costello, a pediatrician at University College London.

You know I couldn't go too long on the new show without a global warming update. What a croc. No wait. I like to wear crocs.
