Kansas history teacher fired for conservative “bias” « The Constitutional Alamo

The Lawrence (Ks.) High School’s displeasure with Tim Latham began early in the school year.

The 44-year old teacher, who was in his first year at the Lawrence school but has taught for a total of 19 years, was called to the assistant principal’s office in September. In that meeting, Jan Gentry told Latham of her concerns. His web site was too patriotic–it featured links to the Air Force, the Army, and other branches of service.

“I mean, I teach American history and government,” Latham told FOXNews’ Joshua Miller. “We had been in school not even a month.”

Is this just an isolated incident in the People's Republic of Lawrence, or is it something more? I fear it is more common than we know.
