TMTA accepts analysis offer CJOnline.com

The Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority has accepted an offer from Topeka-based Anderson Montgomery, LLC, to analyze its operations free of charge, TMTA chief executive officer Janlyn Nesbett-Tucker said Wednesday.

The move came after Anderson Montgomery, a strategic planning and implementation firm run by Vann Anderson and Larry Montgomery, offered to analyze TMTA in a letter to Mayor Bill Bunten, Deputy Mayor Richard Harmon, Nesbett-Tucker and Neta Jeffus, TMTA’s chairwoman of the board.

This study is a good idea. But I have another idea. Why don't we put off any tax increase until these guys have done their work? Maybe they will find ways to save enough money to avoid needing the tax hike.
