Amnesty International protests the administration, while it sneaks one of its own into the Department of Defense.
Candidate Obama campaigned on a promise to end those nasty military tribunals and give the terrorists (now reclassified as man-made disaster specialists) all the rights and privileges afforded juvenile delinquents.
President Obama jettisoned that silly plan as impracticable and unsafe.
Amnesty International is boo-hooing over this, to keep up appearances:
You weren't expecting this group to have actual convictions that go beyond partisan politics, were you?
Speaking of convictions, why are all the Republicans outraged at President Obama's stimulus plan? I know they say it spends to much money and I agree it does. I guess my question is where were all these conservatives when George Bush was bailing out the banks last fall? I disagree with that as well.
ReplyDeletePeople like Sean Hannity say they spoke out against President Bush's spending and he did to a degree, but it was not the daily drumbeat as it is with President Obama. My point is that Republicans kind of forget their convictions when they are in power and Democrats do the same.
